DEECOM® in the Middle East

Posted on 08 January 2019

January 2019 sees some  of our Longworth team visiting Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to launch DEECOM® in the Middle East. We’ve been attending the ArabPlast 2019 trade show for 4 days of meetings with customers, new contacts and re-connecting with some familiar faces.

Our attendance was part of the Great Britain trade delegation with a stand on the GB pavilion, helpfully organised by the British Plastics Federation (BPF). Longworth are proud members of the BPF and gratefully received their support with event arrangements, accommodation and stand build before and during our visit to Dubai. Our initial aim was to make new contacts, meet potential agents and shortlist some possible business partners for a joint venture for DEECOM® to the Middle East.

ArabPlast 2019

ArabPlast 2019, the largest trade expo for plastics, petrochemicals and rubber industry in the MENA region, is set to bring together key players and experts in the sector from around the world in Dubai in early January.

The previous edition of ArabPlast had witnessed 906 exhibitors from 41 countries and 27,268 visitors from 119 countries.

Arabplast is ranked as No. 1 show in the region in plastics, petrochemicals and rubber and related industry.

Longworth is a proud member of the Made in Britain campaign and displayed the campaign branding throughout the visit.

Team Longworth was so well received that a follow up trip is already in the planning.
Chairman John Norris comments, “The Middle East is an exciting move for Longworth, being a buoyant and world leading market in terms of the plastics, polymer and petrochemical industries. This region needs DEECOM® for its ability to deliver an alternative to TEG cleaning. DEECOM® sees lower costs and less damage to the environment in order to see longer life cycles for their components. Not to mention the obvious improvements to quality of product.”

Next stop to see our friends in Taiwan.

What is DEECOM®?

DEECOM® uses superheated steam to gently remove a range of polymers from filters and related production equipment. To read more about how DEECOM® could help increase the productivity of your filters and components, visit our DEECOM® page.
