DEECOM ® Steam Cleaning

What is DEECOM ®?

DEECOM ® is Longworth’s patented and environmentally friendly component cleaning system. It uses superheated, dry steam to effectively remove a range of polymer contaminants from filters and related production equipment without damaging the component, bringing enhanced productivity and extended part lifetime with reduced downtime and at vastly reduced cost, compared to traditional cleaning methods.

Better for the Environment

By using steam as the only cleaning medium, DEECOM® is environmentally friendly and doesn't have the same negative impact on our surroundings as traditional cleaning methods. DEECOM® can reduce waste plastic to 2% in volume, meaning huge savings in the transportation and storage of previously land-filled plastic. DEECOM® is Made in Great Britain and is available for use by customers of Longworth, or for commission by the customer themselves, for use in their own facility. Our agents around the world have more information on DEECOM® and its capabilities.

How Does It Work?

DEECOM® patented technology uses superheated steam as a cleaning medium in a pressure swing atmosphere. Steam is absorbed into the mass whilst the low-pressure swing atmosphere creates a wash effect to remove bulk residues and exfoliate particles from the component, leaving them without damage or 'pitting' and ready for multiple re-use.
